He has over 40 years of group hospitality experience, most recently serving as President of PlantTours for the last 18 years. He has provided consulting services with the majority of Fortune 500 industrial corporations improving group communication dynamics of all types in manufacturing environments.
His first role was in sales and marketing with Marriott Hotels, where he worked closely with businesses, trade groups, and associations to book and plan meetings, conventions, and conferences.
After 10 years with Marriott and the hospitality industry he founded and operated a racing business, renting radio and headset equipment for guest entertainment and pit tours. Through this experience he saw firsthand the negative impact of noise on people’s ability to hear and communicate in large and loud environments. He thought, “There’s got to be a better way” – and Plant-Tours.com was born.
“Take ownership and keep moving forward. Always stick to your plan but be able to adjust your plan when things aren’t working. The bottom line is be flexible, have a positive attitude, and work hard.”
“Understanding your customers will allow you to see what works and what doesn’t, and can help you make changes along the way.”
